The Murder Bag
The Murder Bag by Tony Parsons
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Someone is killing the old boys of Potter’s Field School; he cuts through their throats before they can scream and he doesn’t leave any fingerprints. Newly promoted to the murder squad, can Detective Max Wolfe get his man when he doesn’t seem to be on the same page as anyone else in the team?

I read this book as written by a man, explosive sentences and lots of repetition. About halfway through I was giving up on it as it’s so in your face it’s like an overexcited puppy (Stan perhaps?). Nevertheless, I’m glad I stuck with it and although it did seem to go on for a little bit longer than it needed to, it ended up to be quite a neat story and it certainly made me think I might try another one about Max Wolfe. Which is handy really since I have the next one ready to read already!
