Someone Else's Skin
Someone Else’s Skin by Sarah Hilary
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sometimes, when you sit down to read a new novel, you realise that the last few you have read have been OK but just nothing on this – Someone Else’s Skin is just such a novel, a real page turner which gripped me from the start and which I did not want to end, I absolutely loved it.

The novel appears to centre around characters at a women’s refuge, one of whom is needed to give evidence against her aggressors. Whilst DI Marnie Rome and DS Noah Jakes are there, another crime is committed and we are off on a roller coaster of events which takes us through a gripping read of twists and turns until I had to read the last 25% in one sitting because I couldn’t wait any longer.

The bad thing about this book is that I finished it! However, the characters would easily transfer to another novel, so I will look out for the next one by Sarah Hilary – what a great author she is.
